Dena Carmosino, founder of BirthSong has been working with and caring for expectant families since 1988. Dena has completed Stepping Stones to Midwifery and a two year midwifery program at Hands of Light. She has completed a two year midwifery apprenticeship as well as a short internship at Labor of Love Birth Center in Kingston Jamaica. Dena is an active member of the Massachusetts Midwives Alliance.

Dena has been a childbirth educator and a practicing doula since 1988. She received much of her early training through B.A.C.E (Boston association for Childbirth Education) in 1986 and 1987. She is a certified HypnoBirth® instructor and currently offers a variety of education options including group and private classes. Dena's doula certification is through DONA (Doulas of North America).
